Meet Zain: Shipfusion’s New Project Manager

We’re always expanding and developing our wonderful team. We are pleased to welcome Zain Arif, as our new Project Manager. Check out our Q&A below to find out more about him.

What has your career this far looked like in the tech industry?

I graduated from the BBA Management Specialist program at U of T and began my career at a Canadian startup/tech company called Flipp. As a Senior Project Lead at Flipp, I supported partnerships with some of North America’s largest retailers, such as Walmart, Lowe’s, and Kroger. After nearly five years at Flipp, I joined Shipfusion’s Engineering team as their first Project Manager. Within my first month at Shipfusion, I’ve already had the opportunity to meet all of the different groups and work cross-functionally to support various initiatives and objectives. Although I work with the Engineering team, primarily focusing on software development, I have a lot to learn about the Logistics & Supply Chain industry and all of the incredible technology at Shipfusion! 

What plans do you see for Shipfusion? 

I see Shipfusion continuing its success and growing in 2022 as we have done with the new Las Vegas facility. As the business continues to grow, we want to make sure that we have the best technology and support available for our partners. I’m very excited about the future of Shipfusion and can’t wait to see all that we accomplish. 

What are you most excited about in your new role?

In my new role, I am most excited about being the first Project Manager at Shipfusion and having the opportunity to define the role further and build a team in the future. I’m also enthusiastic about working with our talented Engineering team to continue building world-class technology and supporting all of the teams at Shipfusion.
